Who we are
Where people, agriculture and the environment meet
AgroShield Initiative is a community-centred organisation working at the intersection of agriculture, public health, environmental sustainability and livelihoods.
We believe the challenges communities face are interconnected. Unsafe agricultural practices can affect food and health. Environmental degradation can undermine water, agriculture and livelihoods. Limited access to practical knowledge and essential services can make communities more vulnerable.
Our work connects these challenges to practical, locally grounded solutions.

Across agricultural communities, people can face interconnected challenges:
Unsafe food and agricultural practices
Exposure to inappropriate agricultural chemicals and poor food-handling practices can create risks for farmers and consumers.
Environmental degradation
Loss of vegetation, declining soil quality, pollution and ecosystem degradation can threaten agriculture and community wellbeing.
Water, sanitation and hygiene challenges
Limited access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene can increase environmental and public-health risks.
Livelihood vulnerability
Limited skills, economic opportunities and climate pressures can make households and communities more vulnerable.
